Using the service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Rbcpay website or services you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Definitions

Terms such as buyer, seller, broker, escrow account, transaction and inspection period carry the meanings given to them in these Terms.

3. Eligibility and use

You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract and use the service only for lawful transactions.

4. Accounts, identity, KYC and AML

Accounts require registration and identity verification, and transactions are subject to know your customer and anti money laundering checks.

How transactions work

5. The escrow account and process

Funds are held in an escrow account until the agreed conditions of the transaction are met by both sides.

6. Deposits, withdrawals, fees and timing

Deposits, withdrawals, payments, applicable fees and transaction timing are set out at the point the transaction is created.

7. Milestone and brokered transactions

Transactions may be split into milestones, and brokers may be party to a transaction where all sides have agreed.

8. Responsibilities and prohibited activities

You must not use the service for fraud, money laundering, sanctioned dealings, stolen or counterfeit goods, misrepresentation, or use of another person’s account.

Disputes and liability

9. Disputes, holds, cancellations and refunds

Transactions may be held, cancelled or refunded in line with the dispute process described in these Terms.

Rbcpay may rely on third party financial institutions and service providers to process payments, and their own terms and timing may apply to those payments.

Payments may be processed through third party financial institutions and service providers.

11. Fraud prevention, suspension and termination

Accounts may be suspended or terminated where fraud prevention checks or these Terms require it.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided as described in these Terms, and liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
