Payment questions
Where do I find my transaction reference?
It is shown in your Rbcpay account and in the notification you received when the transaction was created.
What if I pay the wrong amount?
Contact our support team with your transaction reference before the seller ships anything, so the amount can be corrected.
Can I cancel after paying?
A transaction can be cancelled if both parties agree, or under the conditions set out in the Terms and Conditions.
Confirm before you send
You will be asked to confirm the details before any payment is taken. Check the reference and the amount match what you agreed with the other party.

- Your role on the transaction and your payment method
Never pay outside the transaction
If anyone asks you to send money directly to them rather than through Rbcpay, stop and contact us. Payments made outside a Rbcpay transaction carry none of the protection described on this site.
- Only ever pay using details shown in your Rbcpay account
- Check the transaction reference matches what you agreed
- Report anything unexpected to escrow@rbcpay.com before paying
What you will need
Your transaction reference
Shown in your Rbcpay account and in the notification you received when the transaction was created.
Your email address
The address linked to the transaction, so we can send you confirmation of the payment.
The amount and currency
The amount agreed with the other party, in the currency recorded on the transaction.
Your payment method
Bank transfer, card or another supported method, depending on your location and the transaction size.
What happens after you pay
1. Funds are confirmed
Rbcpay confirms receipt of your payment.
2. The seller is notified
The seller is told the funds are secured and can proceed.
3. You inspect and approve
You check what you received within the agreed inspection period.
4. Funds are released
Only after your approval does the seller get paid.
5. The payment is final
Once released, the payment is complete and cannot be reversed through a chargeback.
