Security is not a single feature. It is the combination of how funds are held, how participants are verified, and how each transaction is recorded from the first agreement to the final release.
Where the protection comes from
Funds held separately
Buyer funds are held until the agreed conditions are met, rather than passing straight to the seller. Neither party can move them on their own.
Verified participants
Both sides complete identity checks before a transaction proceeds, so you know who you are dealing with.
Monitored transactions
Activity is reviewed against the terms both parties accepted, and anything that does not fit the agreed pattern is looked at before funds move.
Protecting your own account
Most account problems start outside our systems. A few habits make a real difference, and they cost nothing to adopt.
What we do on our side
- Use a strong, unique password for your Rbcpay account
- Never share login details or one-time codes with anyone
- Check the web address before entering account details
- Confirm payment instructions directly with us, never from an email alone
- Report anything unexpected as soon as you notice it

Data moving between your device and our systems is encrypted in transit.
Access controls
Internal access to transaction information is restricted to the personnel who need it to do their work.
Regular review
Our controls and processes are reviewed so they keep pace with how transactions are actually being run.
Transaction monitoring
Transactions are checked against the agreed terms before funds are released to anyone.
What Rbcpay will never do
If you receive a message that does something on this list, treat it as suspicious and contact us directly.
- Ask you for your password or a one-time code
- Ask you to send funds to a personal or third-party account
- Change payment instructions by email at short notice
- Pressure you to release funds before you have inspected the goods
- Contact you from an address that is not an rbcpay.com address

Reporting a security issue
If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, or you have spotted something that looks wrong, tell us straight away. The sooner we know, the more we can do.

Security questions
Who holds the funds during a transaction?
Funds are held by Rbcpay until the conditions both parties agreed have been met. Neither the buyer nor the seller can release them unilaterally.
What happens if I think my account is compromised?
Contact us immediately on +1-519-993-2775 or escrow@rbcpay.com. Change your password and do not act on any payment instructions you have received.
How do I know an email is really from Rbcpay?
Genuine messages come from an rbcpay.com address and never ask for your password or a one-time code. If in doubt, contact us directly.
